LIGHTNING BOLT COLLECTOR PIPELINER LIMITED SERIES EXHIBIT AT CLEDING RAAD
Lightning Bolt invited five of the most unique, inspirational and legendary Bolt shapers to shape a surfboard that they personally find emblematic of the era. It took three years and a lot of courtesies to have a Collector Series of Pipeliners consisting of the most memorable Bolt boards of all time. Our mission is to show these masterpieces to the World.
After showcasing these boards as a full set at premium locations, Lightning Bolt is now exhibiting the Pipeliners at different retail shops separately in different countries.
Cleding Raad’s owner, Clement, shared some love…
What does Lightning Bolt mean to you?
Lightning Bolt means a lot to Cleding Raad. More than a year ago, I started Cleding Raad. Then I went looking for a nice brand package that fits within my concept. Through blogs from America I came to an oldskool surf brand that was named Lightning Bolt. I sent an email to Lightning Bolt Europe and found Hans Sackman who told me that I could take this beautiful brand. And now after one year, I sell it very well in my store.
If Rory Russell was in Groningen where would you take him?
Where would I take Rory Russell to in Groningen? I think I would let him see many cosy bars and take him out for dinner in this beautiful city. But if he is only one time in the Netherlands than I have to show him the most beautiful beach in The Netherlands and that is on a beautiful island, Vlieland in the north. On this island I come all my life and what could be better than walking in your board short Lightning Bolt on the beach.
Tells us about your project/shop/concept
The concept of Cleding Raad is pretty affordable clothing sales with an outdoor touch. Marking package Asics, Poler, Fjällraven, Stance, Kings of Indigo, Edwin Jeans, Iron and Resin, O’Neill, Dstrezzed, Mizu, Penfield, etc. And in between fits of course Lightning Bolt perfect.
We thank Gerry Lopez, Barry Kanaiaupuni, Tom Parrish, Rory Russell and Reno Abellira for this special collaboration. We’re humbled and grateful.
Stay tuned for more information about this event.
